Precision 316 Stainless Steel Sheet
316S (UNS S31608 / EN 1.4845) is an austenitic heat-resistant stainless steel engineered with a controlled, lower carbon range (0.04% - 0.10%) compared to standard grade 316. This chemistry limits grain boundary carbide precipitation, preserving structural integrity and mechanical load-bearing capacity in continuous high-temperature service up to 1150°C (2102°F).
Supplied globally in Hot Rolled (HR) Annealed and Pickled condition, 316S combines high chromium (24–26%) and nickel (19–22%) contents to resist aggressive scaling, carburization, and thermal fatigue in severe industrial thermal cycling.
Key Features
High-Temperature Oxidation Resistance: Retards protective scale spallation and maintains baseline structural strength up to 1150°C in continuous air service, and approximately 1050°C under intermittent thermal cycling.
Carbide Precipitation Suppression: Controlled maximum carbon content prevents intergranular corrosion and sensitization during welding and prolonged high-temperature exposure.
Creep Strength Stability: Exhibits superior high-temperature tensile retention and resistance to deformation under load compared to standard austenitic grades (e.g., 304/316).
Fabrication Adaptability: Fully compatible with standard industrial welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW) utilizing matching filler metals like ER316 for joint integrity.

Quality Control and Traceability
To satisfy strict engineering incoming inspection protocols, every production lot is verified through:
Positive Material Identification (PMI): Spectrometer testing executed on every individual master plate to verify exact alloy chemistry compliance.
Mechanical & Destructive Testing: Tensile, hardness, and bend testing conducted in accordance with ASTM and EN testing standards.
Non-Destructive & Dimensional Verification: Surface inspected for inclusions, scabs, or rolling defects; plate thickness mapped using ultrasonic digital gauges at multiple grid points.
Mill Test Certificate (MTC): Certified in full compliance with EN 10204 3.1, providing heat numbers, actual chemical composition, and physical test results. Third-party inspection (SGS, BV, TUV, DNV) welcomed prior to shipment.
Packaging and Shipping
Export-Grade Protection: Plates are interleaved with waterproof moisture-barrier paper, bound with heavy-duty structural steel strapping, and mounted on heavy-duty, fumigated wooden skids to prevent transit warping or mechanical shock.
Edge Guarding: Edge protectors fitted to all panel perimeters to prevent impact damage during ocean transport.
Logistics & Documentation: Containerized shipping (20GP/40GP) or breakbulk chartering directly from major export hubs, accompanied by full customs clearance documentation packages (Commercial Invoice, Packing List, MTC, Certificate of Origin).
